|Title:||The Current CoreSign System for SW Debugging in an ARM-based SoC|
As our system becomes more and more complex, it is very difficult to debug software using the traditional mechanism, e.g. breakpoint. To facilitate debug process with a debug tool, ARM defines CoreSight architecture specification, which can be achieved by building up a CoreSight sub-system. Therefore, in this session, I will give some concepts how ARM processor is debugged though a debug tool, which covers the following bullets:
1. CoreSight architecture overview;
2. How to implement and verify CoreSight sub-system;
3. Using ARM debug tool DS-5.
Jing is currently a Senior Applications Engineer at ARM in charge of supporting Cortex-M series processor and CoreSight system. He has worked in the semiconductor industry for 8 years and had engaged in logic design, verification, physical implementation, etc., in the past
