Presentation Title: Cyber Security in the V2X Communications
Abstract: Since the vulnerabilities of a single vehicle in a vehicular communication system can be propagated to the other vehicles participating in the same network, verifying and testing of all the components of such a system should be an important part of the development of new vehicular communication technologies. The presentation will demonstrate different security threats and vulnerabilities typical for ITS communications, identifying the need of suitable security measures.

Speaker Bio: Since 2015 Ivan has been a researcher at the Cyber Security Centre of the University of Warwick where he is involved in a number of research projects carrying out a wide range of technical analyses of cyber-physical systems in the area of communications in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). His research is focused on verification, testing and analysis of the vulnerabilities of complex communication systems and development of security countermeasures. He is currently a Lead Engineer for cyber security in UK Connected Intelligent Transport Environment (UK CITE), Home Area Network Code of Practice (HANCODE) and Connected & Autonomous POD on-Road Implementation (CAPRI) projects.
