Exciting opportunity to participate in a new technology development

As part of the the BBC’s Digital Bristol Week the Creative and High-Tech Sector groups of the LEP are connecting our World-Leading Expertise in Media Content and Technology to drive opportunities in a new market created through metadata tagging.

Bristol has world-leading expertise in both video technology and content production. This workshop session introduces the “Intelligent Media” project – developing quality content with the metadata to enable multiple workflows, automate context-based delivery and capitalizes on the next generation of chip and software technology.

The workshop will first elaborate on the size of the market opportunity which stretches from chips, through software to applications and content. It will then identify a typical flow in content tagging through to delivery and interaction. Round table discussion will ask participants to develop and challenge the opportunity, setting the strategy and developing milestones for 2013 and beyond. This is your chance to give some direction to a new and existing opportunity that will combine world-leading expertise in the region.

The session takes place at 3pm on Friday 1st February at The BBC on Whiteladies Road (BS8 2LR). For security reasons you MUST register here. You will be taken to an Eventbrite page and you should select a ticket for “14.00-16.00: Business Day Conference”. You are welcome to arrive at either 2pm or 3pm. But please make sure you register.

Presented by Mike Bartley, Paul Appleby (Local Enterprise Partnership Chairs for High-Tech & Creative), Ken Helps (InnovTV), and Harry Grinling (Support Partners).
