In July, 2014 Test and Verification Solutions received a prestigious grant from the UK’s National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP) to extend its asureSIGN requirements and verification management tool technology for the aerospace sector.
The grant was in response to NATEP’s 2013 call for proposals for novel technologies that could assist the avionics industry and in particular provide support for the software and hardware safety standards; DO-178C, DO-254 and ARP4754.
T&VS’ proposal was submitted in conjunction with Bristol University and Rolls-Royce as academic and end-user partners respectively. T&VS expects to deliver the extended asureSIGN aerospace-focussed package in late 2015. The project will be monitored on behalf of NATEP by the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF), the trade association that champions and supports the interests of the aerospace and defence industry in the South West of England.
