About the Client
The client provides innovative solutions to freight rail, passenger transit and industrial customers. It has a significant presence in rail friction, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) and Pantograph segments.
The client was looking for a test specialist for testing the Independent Validation Server (IVS), a safety critical component in locomotive equipment, that sends fault messages to prevent train-to-train collisions and derailments. T&VS was chosen for its domain expertise in the locomotive space, having worked on I.S EN 50128:2011 & AC 2014 standards and a proven track record in software testing and device validation.
T&VS deployed a team of test engineers to work closely with the customer’s development team and technical management team for the IVS module. T&VS worked on Unit Testing, Functional Testing for IVS by using C and C++ with LDRA and Vectorcast tools.
The T&VS team established a practical test approach and created a Python-based test framework for test automation. T&VS also supported some of the Java, Embedded Firmware and .Net based development activities.
