Abstract:  Functional coverage is always based on human imagination and even if cent per cent coverage is claimed, certain design areas might remain uncovered. Similarly, checkers are written manually and there is a chance that many of them might be missing or written incorrectly. Since stimuli and test cases are chosen for 100% functional coverage, they might not be exhaustive.

This paper explores how to overcome these Verification challenges with techniques to aid functional verification.
