Dr Steve Wright discusses “Testing of Avionics” at the 4th Intelligent Testing Conference on June 18th. He will outline some of the tools and methods used for performing Hardware-in-the-Loop testing of aircraft avionics. The talk will discuss the objectives of avionics test, how these tests are performed, and the equipment needed to create environments to allow testing to be performed.
Dr Wright will focus on three main points
- Test equipment development
- Test objectives
- Test execution
Dr Steve Wright was diverted from his natural calling as a farm labourer to become a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England after 25 years as a software, electronics and systems engineer at Rolls-Royce, ST Microelectronics, and then Airbus. During his career, he has contributed to aircraft including the Airbus A320, A330, A340, A380, A400M, A350, and Boeing 747, 757, 767, and 777.
